Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Drone Light Shows

Edward Snoke

Safety Officer

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has stopped mass gatherings all over the planet. Drone Light Shows are held in the sky and its a simple exercise to provide a drone light show while at the same time practicing social distancing.

  • People can watch drone light shows for an up to 5 mile radius
  • Drone light shows can be viewed from inside a car or a home or apartment building
  • Drone light shows take place in the sky and require no large crowds at all

Coronaviruses can be spread when people with the virus have close, sustained contact with people who are not infected. This typically means spending more than 15 minutes within two metres of an infected person, such as talking to someone for instance.

In a drone light show the show is 200-300 feet above the ground and can be seen for nearly 5 miles. This means a drone light show event can be part of a well thought out social distance based event to keep everyone safe. The audience for a drone light show can watch the drone show from their car, apartment, home, and even if outside can stand well away from each other as the show is above them and there is no bad seat in a drone light show ever.

The more you come into contact with the droplets from coughs and sneezes of an infected person, the more likely you are to catch the infection. This is why we ask people who have the infection to self-isolate at home and not to go out and about where they can pass it on.
